This proverb dates back to 1374, created by a young chap called Chaucer. Its a shame he had to be right.
More disappointingly, most bad things don’t ever come to an end. Especially when you are on-call (for someone else!) for the night and you’ve been called back in AGAIN - ahhh!! Let me go home and have a quiet night, please!
Oh, and my favourite patient died today. So yes, all good things do come to an end. Except us, of course!

It was a fun and yummy holiday. I wonder if old Chaucer would have used those words? Surely there would be a “ye” and a few too many y’s and h’s?
I also think that bad things do come to an end and some good things never end…..but I will shut up now.
