The capacitor is a magnet wrapped in copper wires. I think. You can just about see the copper colour in the top of the top right circuit board. I once got a shock, and burn, from taking apart my old camera.

Yo, anyway, revision. Had my first exam this morning. That was fine, possibly good, all thanks to two friends. The one tomorrow will be dire though. For one thing I am shattered.

It was so lovely having you to stay in Bath for the long weekend. I look forward to coming up to Glasgow, hopefully in January. Catch you later you little nipper! x

What does the capacitor look like? My bro said Panasonic told him not to touch the ones in tvs (esp old ones) cos they tend to have scary amounts in them...10000v or something daft...that true?

Oh...and GO REVISE! And good luck for tomorrow of course x

Ok, well good luck anyway...(why is Adam revising..did he fail? 'cos i thought he passed everything...unless he is helping you?) not that i have the right to advise you or anyone about revision since my own work ethic is so poor (only 3.5 hours of materials revision on the day of the exam is not advised...but i randomly passed!! and they say miracles don't happen - i beg to differ ;P )

Me? Revise?!

Seriously, this has not taken up much of my time. James R had a spare plywood scrap and cut it to size for me. Speaking of the exams I am off to Bath Library to revise plasticity with Adam.
