Except a bit is missing
I was enjoying The Art of Looking Sideways by Alan Fletcher until I randomly came across a puzzle on page 388. It seemed so simple and yet I could not work it out. After forty minutes of looking at sideways and every other way I finally saw what is going on.
I have reproduced the puzzle for you below in the hope that it too will dumbfound you as it did me. Mwahaa ha haa

The same pieces rearranged but now with four extra squares. Excuse me?!

The book says under the first triangle: These six pieces make a complete triangle.
And under the second triangle: Rearranged the same six pieces make the same triangle - expect a bit is missing.
Ahh poo
in my best worms impression…”that was easy!”
Well at least I am not this silly:

lol ha ha very funny
no comment possible
OMG! WTF!!1
how does it work? i don’t have 40 minutes and i’m not as smart as you. except that i am, since i’m asking someone who knows the answer and therefore saving time.
