engtect is one year old! Hip hip hooray!

But will it keep going? The blog that this one based its layout on, Fufurasu, has barely been updated in seven months although it has altered its layout recently. I sometimes think my blog will keep going and other times I contemplate chucking in the towel.

I have no illusions that there is a career in journalism for me, or that I will get recognition or fame or anything. Nor do I write engtect because I think I am especially great, but I can see it coming across as egotistical and self centred (usually the reason why I feel like stopping blogging). engtect is just an excuse for me do things and share with a few friends and hopefully will prove to be a repository in the future for me to look back on.

This reminds me of the, kinda amusing, exchange of comments on a post at Fufurasu concerning a reader disliking the author.

As an aside, my new locution is
