Thermae Bath Spa
Robin and I did the Roman thing yesterday evening: went to a public spa followed by a pub.
As I said previously I wanted to go to the Thermae Bath Spa. I was thinking cold air and hot water against a twinkling night Bath backdrop. All that was missing was the hot water: even my baths are hotter. It was a nice experience and a good looking building with overly high tech gadgets but even if money was no object I would not go regularly as it was nothing special. I don’t see the point of steam rooms and I really don’t understand the sickening incense added to each room.
They would have to allow the pools to be much hotter to tempt me back, or possibly a nude session.

I thought that the outdoor pool was a lovely temp but the inside ones could have been far hotter. The steam room was so hot that Laura couldn’t sit on the seats for risk of third degree burns!
But it was fab to see the views of Bath, whilst splish-splashing around.
I thought you were joking when you agreed to my nude bathing suggestion!
I don’t expect I would like the nude thing but I enjoy new experiences, good and bad, so would have to go along. See you there!
