Four-leaf clover
On a South Downs walk with mother this afternoon I thought I saw a four-leaf clover as we walked across a field. I had to check and was quite suprised I had actually found one.

To press it I chose my Everyman’s Encyclopaedia (3rd edition 1949) volume 8 opposite the entry on love, with the other volumes stacked on top. I noticed that the middle four letters of clover are love and I want to give it Hannah just as Marc gave the one he found to my sister.

Like Marc I too tried to find more as it is much more likely another will be near by. I had no luck (which makes me question the one I did find) in spotting another and was moved on by mother. Apparently there is only 1 four-leaf for every 10,000 three-leaf clovers.
Tradition says that the four-leaf clover brings luck to their finder, especially if found accidentally, so maybe my exams will be alright after all. Did you know that you can find up to seven-leaf clovers? I think I would need one of those to redeem my exams. Also there are factories that somehow manage to farm four-leaf clovers to sell as lucky charms.

Wow, thats cool, do they have 452 leaf clovers…’cause thats what I need to pass my exams!
So you remember the one Ive got! I’m looking at as I type - it is laminated and stuck onto my pc screen. I’m glad you’ve got one too. You deserve it! Love you Bro
a special reward for guiding your mother with your map reading skills! Thank you.
I once made a four leaf clover using only a three leaf clover and an additional leaf. It gave me good luck for the rest of the day as i found 50p on the curb that afternoon. I think there is a lesson there for all of us
Good luck with the exam results Rob, with your natural talent and genius you will always find a way
Cheers Adam. Here is hoping.
Let’s share the good luck that it brings. You for exams and me for finding a job in possibly the most competitive profession around at the moment (or maybe not, but it’s certainly challenging enough for me!) x
I think this engtect entry has a hidden meaning. The top left word of the top picture is “Nigella”.
Is there something you want to tell me Rob?!
they are not that hard to find around where I live I find one almost everyday!!!
Good for you. Where do you live?
I Found One Yesterday
I have A Maths Test Tomorrow
Hopefully It’ll bring Me Luck
Good luck Leanne!
Yea, I found a clover yesterday at my track meet. And today I found 3 more 4 leaf clovers in the same area (no joke)I didn’t take them but I think they are going to get mowed ofer becauseit was under the bleachers and we moved the bleachers today. however it wasn’t the traditional clover the ones with the indent in the middle of the leaf. It was rounded leaves. My mom told me it was a clover, but I think it is the wrong kind.
Hey Garret,
I understand that if you find 1 four leaf clover then there are likely to be others in the area.
Rob
really i find them all the time but i always spot them on the move
the most leaves i’ve ever found was 6 leafs
there always next to one another
yesterday (june 5th) the day before my birthday i was talking to my sister over the phone, she was announcing me about her pregnency :) She was telling me about her fear for a miscarriage. I told her she had no choice but to leave it out to faith and try to think positive, as i said that i’ve looked down and standing up was a nice big four leaves clover!! Just hope it’s a sign of luck :) It was a special moment for me for my last day before i turned 30 :) happy birthday to me lol
Happy Birthday Richard! I think it will bring you and your sister lots of good luck with the way in which you found it!
HI, i stumbled upon this by chance… nice find!
But sorry to dissappoint you, it isn’t really hard. you just gotta know… currently i grow them in my garden. Four leafed clovers… and they get pretty huge ;)
