Yesterday I found another four-leaf clover and although I was looking out for one I spotted it within minutes. “Mummy! Mummy! Mummy!” I cried as I ran indoors to give my mother the four-leaf clover (I was acting the child Robert you understand).

That evening I pressed it by the entry on ladybirds in the same volume of my Everyman’s Encyclopaedia as the four-leaf clover I found and gave to Hannah.
